MERRY FOREST 2006.10.23-

MERRY FOREST project provides preschool children with opportunities to have experiences in nature and to learn about the environment with forest-growing activities. The activities are based on the belief that it is essential for children to have good experiences in nature and environmental learning, in order to foster their zest for living and healthy humanity. SAVE KIDS Campaign Kids Forest Project began to expand the range of the activities across Japan, using the networks of kindergartens and nursery schools. MERRY FOREST project is starting in full swing in 2007.

MERRY FOREST project ran exhibition booths in Eco-Products 2006 held at Tokyo Big Sight on December 14th-16th. 128 children's merry smiles exhibited on a 6m-by-3m panel, with two "merry" trees in front. The trees are full of hanging "MERRY cards," with the visitors' messages written on site. The many visitors were the participants and they enjoyed the exhibition very much.
